As the partnership between Anubis and Magos Ma'Ta grew, the trust between the two grew. Anubis allowed the magos to harvest some of his own gene seed, just enough to replicate it and grow the legion once more. Also the dead in the legion were donated to him to work upon. With the view of the legion that they never truly died, a sentience was implanted into a marine, and he would lead his gun servitors to battle.
